Plasma Control Rod

Plasma Control Rod Found in: Ordered via syndicate uplink, costs 10 telecrystals. Only available to Station Engineer, Atmospheric Technician and the Chief Engineer. Used for: Melting down the Stormdrive Engine Strategy: Insert a Plasma Rod into the reactor to blow it up Description A plasma cored control rod designed for sabotaging Stormdrive reactors. The Plasma Control Rod will heat up instead of cool down the stormdrive reactor if inserted. Putting one in with four normal rods will cut the ability to cool to less than three quarters. (Maybe include: Startup funnily harder since Rod cools, actual numbers? (normal rod 0,8 and plasma -0,5), if wanting to loose a hand remove while active)

Gas Interactions

N₂ Moderator gas

Boosts the effectiveness of the control rods at moderating tempature.

It also slows the Rate of Reaction down a lot. in fact -0,5, perhaps better shutdown gas than co2

CO₂ Reaction neutralizing gas

CO2 actively hinders the rate of reaction in the reactor core. It also lowers the power output and will increase the moderating ability of the control rods. Typically used to shut down the reactor core.

but actually: is that so? i mean the ROR hinder thing is only called in the fuel check and not the ror_rate check...

Pluoxium Performance boosting gas

Pluoxium increases the power output of the reactor, stabilizes the core, and protects the control rods from degredation during the reaction.

subjectively best non fuel gas to put into the engine if you get enough from irradiating some place and pumping o2 and co2 there
