It was kinda full of jokes a meme's since as long as I can remember tbh... I also removed the Revenant Job from this page as its not a finished game mode--Peoplearestrange (talk) 23:21, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Cult Combo[edit source]

Okay, it's weird that the Nar'Sie cultists are just called cultists, but Ratvar cultists are called Servants of Ratvar or something. Should we fix? --Armhulen (talk) June 2nd, 2016

Guardian Spirits Addition[edit source]

I'm adding Guardian Spirit under antagonists by request of Kor, if I'm in the wrong in doing this or if they don't belong under Antagonists, feel free to change it or whatever since I'm new to editing the wiki and don't know how to do anything anyways. Cheers, --PKPenguin321

Overhaul to jobs and guides[edit source]

We have a problem: too many pages to look info from and some contain the info twice, even thrice in the job-page, location-page and guide-page (e.g. Atmos Tech, Atmospherics, Guide to Atmospherics). We should aim for all info only being said clearly once in one page.

Also some pages are having an identity crisis about what they're supposed to be: are job pages a guide to the job or not? I am proposing that only jobs which don't have almost anything in common with another job (e.g. Janitor) can use the job-page as the guide-page in itself (e.g. Janitor doesn't need a separate Guide to Janitoring because that would be silly).

So mostly job-pages need to be cleared out of things, and moved to the Guide to X.

Job pages should only have info that is specifically THEIR JOB and no one else's.

Everything else goes into the Guide-page!

E.g. Security Officers and Wardens need to know how to brig people, so info how to brig should be only in Guide to Security, the guide is for all Security jobs to read. But only Security Officer needs to know how to equip themselves like a proper officer so that's on their job-page. And the Head of Security needs to know all of this, but let's assume HoS player has played all of the subordinate jobs and knows their shit. So here's the upcoming overhaul of job-pages:

BASIC STUFF FOR ALL JOB-PAGES (include at least these):

  • Who's your boss.
  • What items you're gonna be using --> item-page links.
  • How to equip yourself.
  • What you're gonna be doing --> guide-page links if some other job is doing that too.
  • Antag ideas (if not antag-protected).


SECURITY JOBS:

Security Officer:
  • Basic things.
Warden:
  • How to take care of Armory (flashers etc). But don't barricade it at roundstart!
  • How to implant.
  • How to use all the rest of the things in your office.
Detective:
  • How to use the scanner to point out criminals, don't catch them! You're not a Sec Officer with a scanner.
Head of Security:
  • Must have experience in every Security role.
  • Make sure Security Officers do their thing.
  • Make sure Warden does their thing.
  • Make sure Detective does their thing.
  • Delegate when possible, help when needed.


Space Law:
  • How to space law.
Standard Operating Procedure:
  • How to standard operating procedure.
Guide to Security:
  • What hud icons mean.
  • How to catch bad guys (also how to use your equipment).
  • How to brig bad guys.
  • How to handle different antags.
Guide to Shitcurity:
  • What not to do.


COMMAND JOBS:

Captain:
  • Must have experience in every Head role.
  • Make sure HoP does their thing.
  • Make sure HoS does their thing.
  • Make sure CE does their thing.
  • Make sure RD does their thing.
  • Make sure CMO does their thing.
  • Delegate when possible, help when needed.
Head of Personnel:
  • Must have experience in every Service + Cargo role.
  • Make sure Quartermaster does their thing.
  • Make sure Lawyer, Janitor, Bartender, Chef, Botanist, Assistant, Clown, Mime, Chaplain and Librarian do their thing.
  • Delegate when possible, help when needed.


Chain of Command:
  • Rename to Guide to Commanding


ENGINEERING JOBS:

Station Engineer:
  • Merge with solars-guide + singularity-guide?
Atmospheric Technician:
  • Merge with atmospherics-guide?
Chief Engineer:
  • Must have experience in every Engineering role.
  • Make sure Station Engineers do their thing.
  • Make sure Atmospheric Technicians do their thing.
  • Merge with telecommunications-guide + NTSL scripts-guide?
  • Delegate when possible, help when needed.


Guide to Construction:
  • How to construct things.
Guide to Machine Construction:
  • How to construct machines.
Guide to the Solars:
  • How to set up solars (merge to station engineer job-page?).
Guide to the Singularity Engine:
  • How to set up singularity (merge to station engineer job-page?).
Guide to Atmospherics:
  • How to set up atmospherics (merge to atmos tech job-page?).
Guide to Telecommunications:
  • How to set up tcomms (merge to CE job-page?).
