Introduction
The Solar Confederate Government, or SolGov for short, was an evolution of the United Nations during the resource shortages of the 2050ies.
These days SolGov is a slowly crumbling empire only held together by raw spite, but their raw technological head-start means their fleets can easily destroy you.
Do not piss them off.
History
Faction Relations
Due to being an Empire claiming to be a representative democracy, and their stupidly strong-armed policies, nobody likes SolGov. Yet nobody dares to voice this opinion for fear of their technologically advanced wrath.
While nominally part of SolGov, NanoTrasen wishes to become a fully separate entity due to how hard they are constricted by SolGov taxes. SolGov leadership is entirely aware of NanoTrasen wanting to get out from under their thumb and see it as a major nuisance. As such NT has been forced to be the primary backer of WhiteRapids in order to have them waste equipment and manpower on a war of attrition.
The Tortugan's are a nuisance even smaller than NanoTrasen for SolGov. Infact they are seen as a good thing, more things to tie down NT with. Due to how many Tortugans specifically fled SolGov persecution, any supporter of SolGov should keep their mouth shut while in their territory.
While all of SolGov's leadership despises The Syndicate for what they did to the moon they are right now an useful tool for tying down NanoTrasen while SolGov handles more important foes. One day, should said important foes die. The Syndicate will likely find themselves dead within an afternoon.
