- All humans, monkeys, and lizard people need more than 16KPa of oxygen in the air or internals to breathe. Any less, and the creature starts to suffocate.
- Remember if your oxygen tank runs low (even if refilled), it will automatically switch to a lower KPA, potentially suffocating you in an air filled room. At least it will give you an embarrassing story to tell Genetics.
- Canisters of these are marked in Blue. And Emergency Oxygen Tanks, filled with about 300KPa of oxygen, spawn in your emergency Internals Box. Larger Oxygen Tanks are in Emergency Lockers all across ship, which start with about 600KPa of oxygen.
- Oxygen is required to oxidize a plasma fire. A room with 100% plasma will not burn. More oxygen causes plasma fires to increase in heat and size.
- Oxygen mixed suddenly with heated plasma causes explosions. See Temperature
- Oxygen is invisible. To detect it, use your PDA or a wall mounted Air Alarm.
