Guide to being a Drone[edit | edit source]

Introduction[edit | edit source]

Being a Drone is an easy job. You repair windows, fix breaches, remove banana peels (honk). In your spare time, you steal hats and musical instruments. Also, never interact with humans.

Starting Out[edit | edit source]

You need to be a ghost to play a drone. You have a drone duffelbag on you. It contains essential tools for goofing off repairing. You can start in those two places:

Derelict: If nobody made drone shells, you can pick one of three locations on the Derelict. This guide assumes you're heading straight for the main station. Find your way to the Derelict Medbay, pick up a fire extinguisher, then go left to the Derelict Chapel. You'll find a mass driver there. Deconstruct the Windoor for easier getting inside of the mass driver, then use the computer at the top of the Derelict Chapel. Set force to 16, remove the coffin on the mass driver, use the computer, select Launch Sequence, then quickly get on top of the mass driver until it fires. If you hit the Derelict again, travel diagonally by spacing yourself and activating the fire extinguisher. If you hit a space ruin, repeat.

Main station: No escaping needed, feel free to repair right away.

Other Drones[edit | edit source]

Once you find yourself on the station, feel free to insert materials into a drone-making machine, or go into the Research Division (if they researched drones yet) and make a stack of 5 drone shells. Should be enough. Remember, ":b" at the start of your message allows you to communicate with other drones!

Materials[edit | edit source]

You need materials for building things. Ready stacks can be found in EVA Storage, or ordered from cargo. See Guide to construction for what you can do with them.
