The nanite lab is a area in science where you code and create nanites. These nanites may be either be super helpful or extremely harmful. For the guide to nanites click here.
Much like other sub-areas of science the Nanite Lab is not an essential facility on the station. And while nanites can give very useful benefits, many people choose not to use them due to how easy it is to add unwanted additions to the nanite cloud.
