Introduction[edit | edit source]

The Syndicate stands as the single most dangerous and hostile faction encountered by the Federation. Their ruthlessness in combat and blatant refusal to follow standard practices of war speaks to their savagery. They are the people responsible for the single most tragic event in the entirety of human history and deserve to be treated as such. They are the worst scum of humanity, those that were tasked with supporting their home and instead abandoned it. The Syndicate tries to be everywhere, caution is recommended when speaking of or using public or private communications for sensitive data.

History[edit | edit source]

The Criminal Syndicate of Sector 3 has only been known as the largest terrorist organization and should, as mentioned before, be treated with the harshest prejudice. The Syndicate had formed from rebellious space stations who refused to partake in Federation society and banded together to cause mayhem and agony against the very people that gave them their stations and resources that enabled them to establish themselves in deep space.

Rebellion Begins[edit | edit source]

The initial uprising consisted of refusal of trade. The deep space stations were to become self-sufficient, gather materials, manufacture goods, and sell them back to The Federation in exchange for credits and other goods, as most trade agreements go. Supply was the first to be cut off, their trade ships stopped and they refused all communication. A small scout fleet was sent to investigate, having thought the stations were in danger though they never returned. It’s surmised that they had laid an ambush for the coming scout fleet to acquire combat ready vessels. Subsequent investigations were violent and it was quickly learned they refused to cooperate peacefully. They completely discontinued trade and refused negotiations. Though many attempts were made to speak to them, all were met with silence.

Isolation[edit | edit source]

After the initial uprising, many of the original worm gates that connected them to the Federation hub of travel were either shut down or stripped for parts. Only bluespace warp drives were capable of reaching them which left noticeable typhoon signatures before their wake which would be a strategic disadvantage for the Federation and ultimately lead to the newly united stations gaining a foothold in the, at the time, deepest reaches of space. They collected war assets and used the manufacturing equipment to create weapons of war to support their undue independence and take many innocent lives with said weapons.

War were declared[edit | edit source]

Riots turned into rebellion, rebellion into skirmishes, skirmishes into battles, and battles into war. The Syndicate as we know it today built itself on the broken bodies of Federation personnel and it would only be the beginning of their reign of terror. A decisive strike, a mad dash at the centerfold of Federation power and the intent to slaughter billions left Luna in pieces, scattered in orbit to rain down and destroy all that humanity had worked towards.

Terra will never forget what the Syndicate did to her. Their history, bloody and savage, is hardly worth mentioning but to defeat your enemy, you have to know your enemy.

Relations[edit | edit source]

The Syndicate holds great animosity and unbridled rage towards The Federation, that is Nanotrasen and the Solar Confederate Government.
They do their best to recruit and contact alien races before the Federation has a chance to,
thankfully none of their efforts have borne fruit and the Federation continues to have great relations with its alien members. [Show/hide]
